Big News here at the PSB. Today is the day that we began spreading the love with the release of our S&S 50th Anniversary Celebration Proven Performance Pale Ale! Six-packs and cases will appear on the shelves of your favorite liquor or grocery store this week! This is a limited edition beer and is expected to sell out by the end of the month! Hope you all get a chance to enjoy some.
The 3PA is a variation of our award-winning Pearl Street Pale and is sure to find it’s place in the hearts and minds of hop lovers everywhere. This is such big news that we’ll be ON the news! I was just interviewed by the lovely Jordann from WXOW Channel 19 about the new beer and you will be able to see yours truly on the tube tonight at 6:00 and again at 10:00. You can also read all about it in the La Crosse Tribune tomorrow! Steve Cahalan from the Trib just called and is givin’ us a shout out about it, too. Word up, Steve. Thought I was on a roll when the phone rang and it was a lady from FOX 25 but it turns out she just wanted to sell me some advertising. Ha ha!
The Bandit County Fair was a great success this past weekend down the River at Gunner’s just before De Soto. The rain held out and I believe a good time was had by all. I had a great time. The lineup was quite stacked with good variety. There were countless bands on two stages including Joe Price, Down Lo, Fat Maw Rooney, and Houses in Motion. Some of the areas best bands and some out-of-towners, too. Check out the Bandits on myspace. Got to see lots of old friends and smiling faces and met some new ones, too. Hell I even drank beers with an off-duty cop named Molar (“like the tooth”)! What? The venue was cool with tiers of campers lining the woodsy hillside and an artesian waterfall that was frequented by scantily clad girlies during the weekend festivities. It’s cool just to roam around and be social in the camping areas. If you missed it this year, you must go next year.
The Bandit County Fair was also the maiden voyage for PSB’s super chill new beer trailer. This thing is so very sweet. It holds about 40 kegs and just plug it in and it is ice cold. I can tap up to 14 kegs simultaneously. This is, by far the coolest keggerator I have ever had.
Thanks for all who inquired about employment at the brewery since my last post. It is possible that we have found who we are looking for but we are always interested in good people who share our affinity for great beer. Please stop in and introduce yourself if you think you might want to be part of the PSB world.
If you just want to drink a beer, then join us in the Tasting Room for one. Hours are Tuesday-Friday 4:00-7:00 and Saturday from Noon-5:00. We have seven of our handcrafted ales and lagers on tap including the special limited releases: Dankenstein Imperial IPA and Fruitbat Frambois while they last.
‘Till next time….Joe
