The 2014 $1000 Grand Prize From Wyatt Bicycle Co.

Thursday, June 19th, 2014

Two sweet Bikes. One for La Crosse and One for Madison. Each are valued at $1000. Check out some of the details of this coveted prize as described by Wyatt Hrudka, owner and bike builder for Wyatt Bicycle Co.

Specifically designed for the Tour de Pearl, these two bikes from Wyatt Bicycle Co. take single speed riding to the next level.  Nothing says reliability and performance the way a 4130 CroMoly steel frame equipped with a Velocity Deep V wheelset does.  The cockpit is set up with comfort and control in mind by taking an Origin 8 bullhorn handlebar, wrapping it with super thick 3.2mm Lizard skin tape, and topping it off with a pair of Tektro reverse brake levers.

The frames are powder coated in Ettrick, WI by Premier Powdercoating, Inc.  Powder coating is an advanced finishing process that is an eco-friendly alternative to liquid paint.  Powder coating is more resistant to scratching, chipping, fading, and wearing when exposed to rain, snow, and the hot sun compared to liquid paint.
