Who says it doesn’t pay to brew and bring your own beer to the radio station? The Brewmaster and Randy Hughes, Brewmaster from City Brewery had the task (if you want to call it that) of sampling brews all morning on Wednesday in search of the Lords of the Home Brews.
The 2nd Annual Red, White & Brew Homebrew contest for 95.7 The Rock was another smashing success. People from all over the Coulee Region entered but there could only be a few winners. They were critiqued by the best in the business and although they couldn’t all win the prize, they walked away with some friendly advice and an evaluation sheet from people who know what they’re talking about.
The List of Winners:
Wheat Beer – La Famennoise by Joseph Francois from La Crescent
Pale Ale – Bubba’s Brew a 61 Minute IPA by Will and Sara Kratt from La Crosse
Dark Beer – Nutty Brownhole – Northern English Brown by Dave Beyer from Onalaska
Overall Best Beer – 3 Left Belgian by Kevin Roberts
Congratulations to all the winners and thanks for sharing your brews with us.
