Pearl Street Brewery has teamed up with Island Girl Cruises for monthly cruises featuring all five of our flavors. One Tuesday of every month during the summer, people can come enjoy a Mississippi River cruise while sampling some of La Crosse’s local flavor.

Check out their new location! This year, Island Girl Yacht Cruises will be departing from Skipperliner’s North Bay Marina at 127 Marina Drive in French Island.

S & S Cycle has built quite the reputation in the industry in the last 50 years. A family own business, it is internationally known. To celebrate 50 years of great business, they’re throwing what could be the biggest celebration this area has seen. Bike builders from all over the World are coming to show off their skills and La Crosse is a buzz in preparation.

The Brewmaster is so inspired by this milestone, the only way he knew how to pay proper homage to such an institution was to brew a beer especially for this occasion. So the countdown has begun to the unveiling of Pearl Street Brewery’s Proven Performance Pale Ale, a limited edition beer that will be sold in the six pack in area stores and on tap here at our Tasting Room. Stay tuned, you’re not going to want to miss this! This concoction quite possibly might be the Brewmaster’s finest libation yet.

I’d hate to categorize because I think that our average beer enthusiast is as diverse as they come. But I will say this. We do rate high with the sports fanatic. Now it’s my speed to enjoy a cold refreshing Pearl Street Brew while relaxing and watching the game, but there are some who love it even more after they’ve worked up a sweat playing the game. That’s why we’re proud sponsors of a co-ed volleyball team and a softball team. Our PSB Volleyball team has been going strong for 4 years. We currently play at the Alpine Inn up on top of Grandad’s Bluff. Even though Bliss Road is shut down…Again, it is still worth the hike (the long way) to get up and check out the courts. Our team plays on Tuesday nights on the B league. Regretfully I do have to admit that we are not off to a stellar start. We are 0-2 but we are not discouraged. I think with the love of our fans, a great DTB to drink and a little practice we can pick up the pace for the rest of the season.

The Hitmen, our softball team, are definitely off to a VERY strong start. They are undefeated in the first three weeks of games and they don’t look like they’re slowing down anytime soon. Although I do not play on this team, it’s fearless leader, Jeff Smader makes sure that the W’s happen.

Well, this will officially be my first blog ever. OK, lets see here…..um – I just received delivery of freshly printed six-pack carriers for the new, limited addition S&S 5oth Proven Performance Pale Ale. They look great! They were designed by local artist Jason Herman.

last night I rendered myself hairless. It all came off – the orange fuzz on my head, the beard – even the goat that I’ve had for a looooooooong time. I’m talking decades here folks. I would insert a picture of my new, baby-butt smooth head if I knew how. I will now attempt to do so. There. Not sure if it worked, but my cursor is now chasing a little icon of a torn image across the screen. Maybe Randall himself will email me and tell me how to do this.

Cliff is out putting new seals in the beer filter pump. Mondays are usually maintenance days around here. Maintenance and bill paying. Young Kevin Brown, the brewery’s newest hire shows up to clean the Tasting Room on Mondays. He’s the sub-peon and whipping boy, officially referred to as boy-slave.
