La Crosse’s Oktoberfest celebration was started 50 years ago this year by a local brewery. That’s why The Brewmaster decided to bring back this special brew for such an occasion. A locally made Fest Beer for a local festival. Makes damn good sense. And since we can’t do anything without lots of fanfare.

Mark your calendars for Thursday September 2nd. We’ll be releasing the Lederhosen Lager Fest Beer from 4pm to 8pm. They’ll be live music, food and of course lots of beer. What’s the added bonus you ask? If you wear your lederhosen and show off your Oktoberfest spirit, you can drink FREE beer. Prost!

PICK A POUND FOR A PINT

Helping out has never been so rewarding. It is that time of year again. Time to pick the hops. We figure since you’re here, sitting on the porch and hanging out – why not make yourself useful? All you have to do is pick a pound of hops and you get a pound (16oz) of beer for FREE. Oh and you can brag about how you personally helped with this year’s batch of Harvest Ale! How cool is that?

The 2nd Annual Hop Harvest is from Tuesday August 30th when the doors open at 4pm until Saturday September 4th or until all the hops have been harvested.

This week, Pearl Street Brewery will be doing an explosion of beer tastings all over  the Green Bay and Fox River Valley, celebrating the roll-out of their beers in this thirsty part of the state.

The demand for PSB beer has grown exponentially over the last few years. We, here at the brewery, have expanded and upgraded our equipment and done a lot more brewing to meet some of the demand. We’ve also added some new faces around here to help get our beer out there to our fellow Wisconsinites who want it.

This week, we are excited to announce that we are officially expanding our reach throughout the Fox River Valley all the way up to Green Bay. As a self-distributing brewery, we are able to provide the best quality service to our wonderful customers and make sure only fresh and delicious Pearl Street beers get placed in their hands. This week, we are working even harder to make sure all of our new stores have our beer on the shelf. We will be hosting beer tastings at seven locations throughout the new territory on this week with our entire staff.*  If you are from the area, come on down and say hello, if you know some people from the area, please forward this message to them so they can get acquainted with the PSB beers for FREE!

Pearl Street Brewery announces the Name the new beer and get free beer for a year contest going on now! Submit you entries at the brewery, or online at Pearl Street Brewery’s Facebook page on the growing list there.

THE BEER:

The beer is a pilsner lager, brewed with all barley pilz malt and hopped with noble German hops to an assertive, but friendly and refined hop presence and dry-hopped for a floral and spicy hop nose. The flavor is crisp and easy, with an extremely fresh finish. The color is yellow gold, and sparklingly brilliant.

You must be at least 21 years of age to submit a name, or participate in this contest.
You may submit as many names as you like.
You must submit names by either adding them to the growing list on Pearl Street’s Facebook page, or putting your suggestion in the box at the brewery.
If duplicate, or very similar names are submitted, we will only consider the one that came to our attention first.
Submitted names will become the property of the Pearl Street Brewery and no additional compensation will be made.
The winner, chosen at the sole discretion of Pearl Street Brewery, will be eligible to receive a FREE pint of one our standard beers or a half pint of our specialty, limited release beers each time they come to the brewery’s Tasting Room during normal business hours for one year, starting the week after the brewery names the winner. Limit one FREE glass per visit, per day. Winnings are not transferable and may not be stockpiled, or exchanged for any other goods or services and have no cash value.
By submitting a name and therefor participating in this contest, entrants agree to let Pearl Street Brewery use their name and likeness without license indefinitely.
Any use of Pearl Street Brewery’s name, trademarks, logos or other property is prohibited unless express permission has been granted.
