BEDWETTER BARLEYWINE- This is a Pearl Street Classic. Our most-requested past beer, Brewmaster Joe hasn’t brewed this beast since 2003. He dug deep into the archives and dusted off the recipe of this , 10%ABV malt bomb. The name says it all.

TAMBOIS RASPBERRY ALE- Our own version of a Belgian Frambois. Locally grown raspberries from our friends at Hoch Organic Orchards make this ancient ruby red beer tart and effervescent. 6.3%ABV.

HOCHEY BROWN APPLE ALE- A blend of pure apple  juice from the Hoch’s Orchard  sit atop a base of our brown ale and intermingle in the fermenter to create this fresh , crisp cider beer! 6%ABV

BOURBON BARREL AGED CHERRY STOUT- There’s a lot going on here. There are 60 pounds of cherries including Door County Wisconsin cherries in every barrel.  Black stout, organic rolled oats,   aged in white oak bourbon barrels. Mmm.

BOURBON BARREL AGED SMOKIN’ HEMP PORTER- We brewed a batch of our Smokin’ Hemp Porter for the Bandit County Fair back in April, but we didn’t drink it all. We set some aside and aged it in a few oak bourbon barrels. This is it! The beer is made with Canadian toasted hemp seeds and the malt smoked over cherry wood lends a smooth, sweet, smoked malt character.  5%ABV

For those of you who participated in our 3rd Annual Hop Harvest, it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. And for the rest of you… it’s time to enjoy the fruits of their labor. We’re pretty excited about this batch of Harvest Ale. And for a special treat, half of this batch was turned into a spiced Pumpkin Ale. Yum!

Making this beer was particularly fun for us because we got to involve our loyal fans and friends in the beer making process. Trust us, you guys did the hard part by harvesting all those hops! So one big thank you to all of you who picked those Pounds for Pints!

And of course, we don’t celebrate a job well done with anything less than a stellar party.

La Crosse’s Oktoberfest celebration was started 50 years ago this year by a local brewery. That’s why The Brewmaster decided to bring back this special brew for such an occasion. A locally made Fest Beer for a local festival. Makes damn good sense. And since we can’t do anything without lots of fanfare.

Mark your calendars for Thursday September 2nd. We’ll be releasing the Lederhosen Lager Fest Beer from 4pm to 8pm. They’ll be live music, food and of course lots of beer. What’s the added bonus you ask? If you wear your lederhosen and show off your Oktoberfest spirit, you can drink FREE beer. Prost!

PICK A POUND FOR A PINT

Helping out has never been so rewarding. It is that time of year again. Time to pick the hops. We figure since you’re here, sitting on the porch and hanging out – why not make yourself useful? All you have to do is pick a pound of hops and you get a pound (16oz) of beer for FREE. Oh and you can brag about how you personally helped with this year’s batch of Harvest Ale! How cool is that?

The 2nd Annual Hop Harvest is from Tuesday August 30th when the doors open at 4pm until Saturday September 4th or until all the hops have been harvested.
